The Great Bend Braves scheduled end to their regular season of Class A American Legion baseball was canceled on Friday.
The Braves were slated to square off against Sedgwick in a doubleheader at Al Burns Memorial Field, starting at 6 p.m., but the games were called off because Sedgwick did not have enough players to play.
The Braves will enter zone play with a record of 23-8.
Braves head coach Randy Beck said that seedings for zone will be determined based on each team’s records over the weekend.
Great Bend will be playing its first zone game in Hays at Larks Park on Wednesday afternoon at 4 or 6, depending which seed the Braves are.
Great Bend’s zone is made up of Hays, Ness City, Larned and Dodge City.
