Great Bend playing host to state tourney

Great Bend is playing host to a state baseball tournament this weekend.
The Great Bend Recreation Commission is conducting the 11-and-under Hap Dumont State Tournament on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Twenty-five teams will be seeking the top spot in the tournament.
Pool play is slated for Friday and Saturday at Veterans Memorial Park and Brit Spaugh ballfields, starting at 10 a.m. each day.
The Elimination side of the bracket begins Saturday afternoon, and the championship rounds start Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at Veterans South.
