The Wichita Hawks were crowned as the state champions of the 2011 NBC Hap Dumont State Tournament for 11-and-under baseball teams on Sunday after beating the Wichita Grays 10-5.
The Hawks played three games on Sunday, including the championship game, starting their course through the bracket on Saturday with an 11-9 win over the Wichita Rock Hounds.
The Hawks opened play on Sunday with an 11-1 win over the Wichita Jets and followed it with a 5-0 win over the Westurban Gators.
The Grays played all of their elimination games on Sunday, beating the Pratt Gators 9-5 at 10 a.m.
The Grays also beat Ark City 12-2, and edged the Wichita Sluggers 10-9.
