ELLINWOOD – Medicine Lodge quarterback Keveon Ruiz and tailback Jack Schreiner accounted for five touchdowns as the Indians roared past Ellinwood 49-0 in Friday’s 1A, District 7 football game.
Medicine Lodge (5-2, 3-1 District) kept Ellinwood (3-4, 0-4) winless in 1A District play with a dominating performance.
Ruiz rushed for 74 yards and scored on a 21-yard run. He completed 16- and 33-yard touchdown passes to Derek Randels. Schreiner rushed for 59 yards and scored on 3- and 37-yard runs. Braxx Farr scored on 5- and 14-yard runs.
The Indians converted touchdown drives after recovering two kickoffs and scored three touchdowns after a pair of interceptions and a fumble recovery.
