The No. 5 ranked 1A Division 1 St. John Tigers (13-1, 4-0 CPL) employed full-court pressure to spark a 76-28 Central Prairie League basketball victory over Ellinwood.
Heidi Fisher keyed the Tigers' defense and scored 19 points. Lydia Reed played one of her best games in a crisp 18-point effort. Gentri Bright (11) and Reagan Bonner (10) scored in double figures.
Ellinwood (4-10, 0-4 CPL) was paced by Julia Schlessiger with nine points and Reese Stickney converted a pair of 3-pointers.

ELLINWOOD 49, ST. JOHN 42 — Ellinwood converted four 3-pointers in the third period and earned a 49-42 Central Prairie League victory over St. John Monday.
Ellinwood (9-5, 2-2 CPL) was led by Landon Simpson with 20 points and four 3-pointers. Mason Moore and Drew Heinz added nine points apiece.
Quade Smith scored 17 points and Aden Adame added eight points for St. John (7-7, 2-2 CPL).
"St. John didn't make things easy on us," said Ellinwood coach Jaron Lane. "Coach (Daniel) Hilton has the Tigers playing really hard."
