RUSSELL — The final round of the Russell Amos Morris basketball tournament was postponed due to wintry driving conditions. The Central Plains boys and girls games have not been rescheduled.

CENTRAL PLAINS 53, ELLSWORTH 39 (SEMIFINAL) — The Central Plains boys cruised past Ellsworth 53-39 in the Amos Morris semifinal. The defending champions featured Brodie Crites (19), Camden Stiles (19) and Rylan Siemsen (13) in double figures. The Oilers face Beloit St. John's in Saturday's championship.

The Oilers led 51-27 after three quarters. Central Plains converted six 3-pointers to outscore Ellsworth 18-6. Ellsworth's Goss scored 18 points.

CENTRAL PLAINS 69, HILL CITY 36 — Central Plains rolled past Hill City 69-36 to earn a semifinal showdown against Ellsworth.

ELLSWORTH GIRLS 42, CENTRAL PLAINS 34 (SEMIFINAL) — The Ellsworth girls outlasted Central Plains 42-34 to advance into Saturday's Amos Morris basketball championship against Beloit St. John's. 

Ellsworth's Alexis Moore scored 14 points and Peschka added 13 points. Oiler Emery Siemsen scored 16 points and Izzy Hurley converted a trio of 3-pointers and scored 10 points.

CENTRAL PLAINS GIRLS 48, HILL CITY 26 — Central Plains cruised past Hill City 48-26 to earn a Friday semifinal game against Ellsworth. Kambree Nixon (13), Lilly Hurley (11) and Emery Siemsen (11) scored in double figures. The Oilers converted four 3-pointers.
