LAKE BARTON — Central Plains Oiler Alex Hickel shot 2-over-72 (36-36) to earn runner-up medalist honors at Thursday’s Hoisington Golf Invitational at Lake Barton Golf Course. Wakeeney Trego’s Dalton Mai shot 1-under 69 (36-33) to earn medalist honors.

Trego (367) placed first and Hoisington High (387) finished runner-up. Hoisington’s Drew Nicholson shot 87 (43-44) to place third. Central Plains’ Brett Thompson shot 90 (37-43) to earn fifth place. Hoisington’s Braeden Hopkins shot 94 (46-48) to earn eighth medalist honors.  

Hoisington also counted scores by 12th place Paul Rhiza (100) and 21st-place Noah Dolezal (106).
