Oilers’ Ryan stays unbeaten
ELLSWORTH – Central Plains Oiler Peyton Ryan cruised past Salina Sacred Heart’s Casey Perrin 8-0 to capture the No. 1 singles championship at Tuesday’s Ellsworth Tennis Tournament. Ryan finished 37-1 and placed fifth at 3-1A tennis last year.
Sacred Heart’s No. 2 singles Jace Douglas downed Hoisington’s Chase Maier 8-3 for first place.
Central Plains’ No. 1 doubles Paxton Dody/Hunter Green finished fourth with an 8-2 loss to Sacred heart’s Ben Cheney/Sean Riordan.
Larned’s No. 2 doubles Mason Mead/Jarett Seeman placed fourth with an 8-2 loss to Sacred Heart’s Tom Cheney/Landon Johnson.
Salina Sacred Heart (57) finished first followed by Salina South (51) and Central Plains (47).
