SCOTT CITY – Larned's Ella McNett (23-7) placed runner-up and the sister duo of Kathryn Holt/Abby Holt (20-8) placed third at the Scott City 3-1A tennis regional to qualify for the state tournament.
Colby's No. 1 seeded Hayden Bellamy downed McNett 6-1, 6-4 in the championship match. The Holt sisters downed Greeley County's Kyra Nolan/Kalli Knobbe, 6-3, 6-3 for third place. The Holts lost 6-3, 6-3 to Scott City's regional champions Isabella Gutierrez-Myers/Sadie Hermosillo in the semifinals.
Larned's Sarah Manry (18-3) lost 6-3, 6-0 to Meade's Karsen Jones. Scott City (18) won the regional title and Larned (11) finished runner-up.
