On Monday, the Great Bend Middle School “A” boys’ basketball team trounced the visiting Medicine Lodge Indians 47-1 inside the cozy confines of the GBMS gymnasium.
That’s no misprint, either; 47-1.
Panthers head coach Dan Eyestone’s charges allowed only a single point in the first quarter and didn’t allow any the following three in a thorough defensive domination, improving to 4-0 on the season.
In “B” action, Medicine Lodge came away with a 35-31 triumph, and in a two-quarter “C” team game, the Panthers pulled away for an 18-5 win.
The next action for GBMS is Thursday at Larned, starting with a two-quarter “C” game at 4:30 p.m. at Larned Middle School.
Also on Monday, the GBMS Lady Panthers ‘A’ team defeated Medicine Lodge 40-15, improving their record to 3-1.
The ‘B’ team lost 23-14, dropping them to 1-4.
The girls teams will be in action on Thursday at home vs. Larned.
