Otis-Bison sweeps basketball openers

OTIS-BISON 50, TESCOTT 39 — Otis-Bison's Kolten Cory scored 16 points in the fourth quarter to rally the Cougars past Tescott 50-39 in Tuesday's basketball season opener. Kelson Juno scored 16 points.

The Cougars outscored Tescott 24-7 in the fourth quarter. Tescott's Carter Phelps and Charlie Phelps each scored nine points.

STAFFORD 59, ASHLAND 34 — Stafford sophomore Jace Kreutzer scored the first 10 points as the Trojans rolled past Ashland 59-34 in Tuesday's basketball season opener. Kreutzer converted a pair of 3-pointers in the opening quarter and finished with 16 points.

Stafford's Ricardo Cecchin scored 10 points and Jacob Johnson and James Engelbrecht added nine apiece. The Trojans converted eight 3-pointers.

Ashland's Jayla Walker scored 19 points and Molly Harris added 13 points. The Bluejays took control with 13-0 and 18-0 scoring streaks.
