Hays sets Diamond Classic draw

HAYS — Great Bend (7-7) will open against Western Athletic Conference champion Hays High (13-1) in Thursday’s 6:30 p.m. baseball game at the Diamond Classic. The Panthers handed the No. 4 ranked 5A Indians their only league loss 7-6 last week. Hays won the second league game on a forfeit after the April 9 game was tied 3-3.

Great Bend will also play No. 4 Manhattan (11-3), 5A Salina Central (7-5) and 5A Goddard Eisenhower (9-5).
