Great Bend's state bowling champion Zoey Mayberry has signed a letter of intent to compete in bowling with the Barton Cougars.
Mayberry is a 3-time state champion bowler. She helped Great Bend capture back-to-back girls state bowling championships in 2023 and 2024. She led the Lady Panthers to their first-ever team title in Unified Bowling in 2025.
Mayberry has placed sixth (591), 10th (576) and 13th (565) at the past three Class 5A girls state bowling championships at Wichita.
“We have signed a very talented bowler in Zoey," said Barton Cougar bowling coach Mike Perry. "The most amazing part is that she is an even better person than she is a bowler."
Coach Perry believes the addition of Mayberry will help the Cougars contend for an NJCAA bowling national championship berth in 2027.
