WICHITA — The Great Bend girls placed sixth at Saturday's Wichita Carroll Baker Bowling Tournament with a 2,149 score (179 average) in 12 games. Campus placed first at 2,333 (194 average).
Competing for the girls were Jenna Dean, Kristy Wittig, Sahara Rhiza, Emilee Nelson, Aliyah Fryberger and Kaylin Wahlmeier. The Panthers posted two-game totals of 351, 328, 366, 347, 365 and 392. Five players alternate one frame at a time in the Baker format.
Great Bend's boys placed 24th at 1,987 (166 average) with two-game totals of 363, 284, 346, 284, 340 and 370. Competing for the Panthers were Caleb Murphy, Deklyn Craven, Jordan Manning, Caleb McNett, Dylan Ferguson and Jalen Daniels. Wichita Kapaun-Mt. Carmel placed first at 2,697 (224 average).
