Panther bowlers sweep Liberal

LIBERAL  — Great Bend's boys swept Liberal 13-0 and the Panther girls downed the Redskins 12-1 in the opening Western Athletic bowling dual match.

Great Bend medalist Daegan Miller (646) was followed by teammates Josh Manning (623), Kanyen Parr (589) and Tyler Pelster (545) as the Panthers swept the top four spots. The Panthers earned a trio of series games 837-646, 792-697 and 833-603. Great Bend won four Baker games 210-187, 197-110, 176-139, 161-136.

Panther junior varsity bowler Brantley Vsetecka (665) rolled the top series of the day. 

Multi-state qualifier Zoey Mayberry (617) and runner-up Brooklynn Mayberry (498) joined fourth-place finishers Ella Nokes (383) and Alejandra Ayala (383).
