Great Bend's Cole Streck hits a shot at Stoneridge Country Club.

GARDEN CITY – Great Bend’s Cole Streck shot 5-over-par 77 to tie for third place at Friday’s Garden City Golf Invitational.

Great Bend also counted scores by Brantley Baldwin (86), Cal Dunekack (89) and Jayson Effertz shot (94).

“It was a really good weather day with low winds on a golf course in fabulous condition,” said Great Bend coach Travis McAtee. “We will continue to work on hitting more fairways and greens and putting better. We have a busy week ahead with three varsity tournaments Monday, Thursday and Friday. We’ll have a better idea of where we are as a team after next week.” 

Garden City (313) placed first and Garden City’s Sion Audrain shot 4-under-par 68 to capture medalist honors.
