Great Bend's boys defeated Hays High 60-24 and the Panther girls completed the Western Athletic Conference wrestling sweep with a 42-9 dual-match victory Tuesday.
Panthers Kaden Spragis (106), Avery Wolf (113), John Szot (120), Robby Gutierrez (126), Cooper Liles (132), Wyatt Weber (138), Matthew Johnson (160), Scott Heilman (170), Gage Reimer (182) and Keyven Schroeder (195) all earned wins on pins.
"It was big domination. We earned a lot of pins," said Great Bend coach Nathan Broeckelman. "Our freshmen big boys are starting to score team points."
Great Bend's Daizy Gomez (120) and Breanna Ridgeway (132) won on pins in the girls dual match. No. 3 ranked Hays High's Sarah Zimmerman edged No. 1 ranked Panther 101-pounder Breckyn Elliott 5-2.
"I knew their 109-pounder was good," Broeckelman said. "We wanted to get Breckyn a match."
