GARDEN CITY – Great Bend’s returning state qualifier Kasey Kennedy won the 100 freestyle (57.63) followed by teammate Adam Hall (1:02.72) at the recent Garden City swimming meet. Kennedy placed third in the 200 freestyle (2:11.01). Andrew McQuade placed fifth (2:34.75(, and Hall finished sixth (2:34.95.)
The Panthers’ 200 free relay placed fourth (1:58.67) with Hall, McQuade, Gabe Herrman and Matthew Williams. The 400 free relay (4:42.58) placed fourth with Hall, McQuade, Williams, and Joshua Sharpe.
Sharpe finished fifth in the 500 free (8:18.3) and Jordan Sander was sixth (8:20.49). McQuade placed fifth in the 100 backstroke (1:25.74) and Sharpe was seventh (1:27. 27). Williams placed sixth in the 100 breast (1:31.48) and sixth in the 200 IM (3:06.38).
Great Bend's 200 medley relay placed seventh (2:41.73) with Sander, Thurman, Sander, and Sharpe.
Great Bend (336) finished third behind Garden City (533) and Hays High (425).
