Panthers Mauler, Herter earn all-WAC volleyball honors

Great Bend Panther juniors Jenna Mauler and Alyssa Herter earned first-team All-Western Athletic Conference volleyball honors. Great Bend (17-16) lost to McPherson 25-22, 25-8 in 5A substate.

Mauler led the Panthers with 244 kills and delivered 339 defensive digs. Herter led the Panthers in assists (447), ace serves (42) and blocks (16) and contributed 186 defensive digs.

Garden City’s Reagan Karlin was Player of the Year. Buffalo coach Trista Bailey was Coach of the Year.
