Panthers lose at regionals

SALINA – Great Bend’s entries lost four first-round matches at Friday’s 5A Salina South tennis regional.

Salina South’s No. 11 seed Carson Crow upset No. 6 Brendyn Schroeder 6-3, 6-3. Schroeder finishes with a 19-9 record after qualifying for 5A state singles last year.

Hutchinson’s Carson Albert defeated Jordan Manning 9-6 in a play-in match.  Manning ends with a 2-4 record.

Salina Central’s Brock Dolton-Charles Slothower defeated Jacob Parks/Aaron Ramirez, 9-0 in their first match of the season.

Salina Central’s Noah Peck/Liam Deniau-Young defeated Kaden Deines/Cameron Harbaugh 9-4. Deines-Harbaugh finish with an 8-25 record.
