Panthers’ Stein earns three gold medals

HUTCHINSON – Great Bend Panther Tyler Stein captured first place in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.56) and 100-yard freestyle (55.38). He also competed with the first-place 200-yard medley relay (2:00.54) with teammates Ty Boone, Ellis Long and Beau Burkhart.

Panther Brody Feist tied for first place (5:53.16) with Garden City’s Alec Erksin in an amazing dead heat for the gold medal.

Panthers finishing runner-up were Long in the 50 freestyle (25.43) and 100 freestyle (57.77).

The Panthers placed third (204.5) behind champion Buhler (345) and Garden City (213.5).
