SALINA – Great Bend’s Kaylin Wahlmeier (24-13) won her first two matches and placed fourth at the Salina tennis regional to qualify for the 5A state tennis tournament. Emporia’s regional champion Kali Keough defeated Wahlmeier 6-0, 6-0 in the semifinals. Valley Center’s Allison Munhall defeated Wahlmeier 6-0, 6-0 for third place.

Singles teammate Paige Stacey (14-10) won a match and missed qualifying for the state tournament by losing her next two matches.

Panther doubles Taylor Lashley/Samantha Mayers (17-18) and Mac Lindberg/Darcy Feist (14-8) lost their opening matches.
