PRATT— The Great Bend Chiefs coughed up an 8-3 advantage in the final inning of their opener against Pratt Wednesday night in a 9-8 loss. Down 4-2 in the sixth inning of game two Pratt mounted another rally to claim a 7-4 win over the Chiefs for the two-game sweep.
Great Bend falls to 18-15 on the season and will compete in the Pikes Peak Tournament this Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Chiefs will return to the Great Bend Sports Complex July 15 and 16 to host Buhler and Russell in a four-game home stand.
