STAFFORD — Stafford High School’s boys’ basketball team made furious run at Pretty Prairie, outscoring the visitors 20-13 in the fourth quarter on Tuesday night.
But Pretty Prairie held on fora 62-53 victory.
Pretty Prairie led 34-14 at halftime and 49-33 after three quarters before Stafford made its too little, too late run.
Tanner Newell led Stafford with 21 points, including four 3-point hits.

Claflin 75,
Western Plains 12

CLAFLIN — Claflin girls had its way against Western Plains on Tuesday night.
The Wildcats led 19-4, 45-8 and 63-10 at the quarter breaks.
Claflin had four players land in double figures in scoring, led by Sydney Rugan’s 19 points, including 11 in the second half.
Natalie Hoffman and Ashlee Maier added 12 points apiece, and Courtney Libel added 10 points for Claflin.
