MACKSVILLE — Central Plains outscored Macksville 39-26 in the second half for a 64-54 Central Prairie League basketball victory.
Central Plains (8-0, 1-0 CPL) placed Brett Leibl (17), Devin Ryan (15), Alex Hickel (14) and Myles Menges (13) in double figures. Liebl grabbed seven rebounds, Ryan dished out five assists and Hickel had three steals.
Macksville (5-2, 0-2 CPL) was led by Jacob Rein with 19 points and Karson Waters with 15 points. Kreed Parr dished out five assists.

MACKSVILLE – All-stater Emily Ryan scored 39 points to spark No. 2 ranked Central Plains past Macksville 78-18 in Friday’s Central Prairie League basketball game. Delaney Rugan scored 10 points for Central Plains (8-0, 1-0 CPL).
Macksville (3-4, 1-1 CPL) was paced by Jenna Russell with eight points.
VICTORIA BOYS 41, OTIS-BISON 40
OTIS – Victoria’s Caden Oberle scored 20 points to spark the Knights past No. 1 state-ranked 1A-Division 2 Otis-Bison 41-40 in Friday’s Central Prairie League basketball game.
Victoria (1-6, 1-0 CPL) earned its first victory in stunning fashion. Oberle scored five points in the fourth quarter. Cooper Windholz added 10 points.
Otis-Bison (5-2, 0-2 CPL) was paced by Maitland Wiltse (18) with Anton Foust (12) and Clade Anderson (10) scoring in double figures. The Cougars lost the game at the free throw line with three of 11 shooting.

NESS CITY – St. John’s Tanner Halling scored 17 points and Chase Fisher added 16 points as the No.2 ranked 1A Division 1 Tigers edged No. 8 2A Ness City 50-46 in a Central Prairie League showdown of state-ranked teams.
Halling and Eddy Ibarra made clinching free throws. John Pfannenstiel made a 3-pointer to rally Ness City within 48-46. Ness City (6-2, 2-1 CPL) had Angel Guzman miss a hotly-contested tying 2-pointer and another tying 3-pointer in the final seconds. Andreas Rios led the Eagles with 19 points.
St. John (6-2, 2-0 CPL) led 27-18 at halftime before Ness City staged a second-half rally.

NESS CITY – St. John’s Tara Nelson scored a career high 33 points to spark the Tigers past Ness City 61-36 in Friday’s Central Prairie League basketball game. Nelson scored 21 of the Tigers’ first 27 points.
St. John (5-3, 2-0 CPL) led 34-23 at halftime and outscored the Eagles 27-13 after halftime. Paige Doran added 10 points.
Ness City (0-8, 0-3 CPL) was led by Tiana Epperson with 17 points.
