Four area football players are expected to sign with community colleges today — Central Plains fullback Dylan Prosser, Ellinwood offensive and defensive lineman Ian Goering, Macksville defensive lineman Jeremy Huffman and St. John linebacker and running back Pat Prescott.
Prosser, a 5-foot-10, 212-pound fullback who also started at nose guard, is scheduled to sign with Garden City at 10 a.m.
Central Plains head coach Chris Steiner said that the Oilers leading rusher, Benn Kirmer, had not made up his mind about next season.
Prescott’s signing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at the St. John gymnasium. Prescott, who is planning on signing with Dodge City, started in both positions for the Tigers.
Goering plans on signing to play football for Hutchinson.
Huffman will be having an unofficial signing at Macksville at around 3:30 p.m. according to head coach Jeff Kuckelman.
Kuckelman also said that Mustangs quarterback Seth Filbert will be a preferred walk-on at Kansas State.
