ELLINWOOD — The Elliwood High School girls’ basketball team held close after the first quarter on Friday
However, Hoisington slipped away in the second and third quarters, outscoring the Lady Eagles 28-12 in the 12-minute span of the Mid-Central Activities Association game.
Hoisington was led by Mallory Flagor, who finished with a game-high 20 points.
Belle Brickley added nine points, and Jordin Greer scored seven points in her first game back from a hand injury.
The Lady Eagles were led by Darri Beckwith, who finished with 17 points.

The Lady Oilers, who are 7-2 this season, were led by Sydney Rugan, who finished with 17 points.
Lindsey Woodmansee scored three 3-pointers to finish with nine points.
Kristin Huser led the Victoria offense with five points.

OTIS — Otis-Bison was behind 14-6 at halftime, but the Lady Cougars outscored LaCrosse 26-16 in the second half to win.
Otis-Bison (3-6) were led by Janel Tammen, who finished with 15 points. Hannah Bannister added 10 points and Kim Pechanec contributed six.
LaCrosse was led by Tacey Helm, who finished with 13 points. Adrian McCarroll scored six points.

Central Christian 69,
Stafford 23

STAFFORD — Central Christian jumped ahead to a 21-8 lead after eight minutes against Stafford.
Stafford, which falls to 0-6 on the season, was led by Kristen Lumpkins, who scored 10 points.
Adriane Millershaski added six points for the Lady Trojans.

OTIS — Otis-Bison rallied in the fourth quarter to come from behind and edge LaCrosse.
The Cougars outscored LaCrosse 16-7 in the final period.
Otis-Bison, which is ranked No. 8 in Class 1A Division-I, was led by Dylan Wissman, who scored 10 of his game-high 14 points in the fourth quarter.
Trevor Keller added 11 points.

ELLINWOOD — The Ellinwood boys were behind 17-15 at halftime, but outscored Hoisington 37-21 in the second half to earn a MCAA victory.
Ellinwood had two players in double figures with Patrick Ringering leading with 17 points.
Kyle Blakeslee finished with 15 points, including three 3-pointers.
Hoisington, which is ranked No. 7 in Class 3A in the latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association poll, was led by Derrick Kaiser, who finished with 15 points.
