Ellinwood 39, Larned 31

LARNED — The Ellinwood High School girls’ basketball team took a 10-6 lead after eight minutes and was able to hold on to beat Mid-Central Activities Association foe Larned.
The Lady Eagles were led by Sophie Hayes, who finished with nine points. Darri Beckwith added eight points.
Larned was led by Katie Seeman, who scored eight points.

Victoria was led by Kristin Huser, who finished with a game-high 21 points.
Melissa Espino led Macksville with eight points. Kristina Murphy and Mindy Wood each added seven.

LARNED — Larned gave itself a little breating room after two quarters, leading 28-24 at halftime.
The Indians added to their lead piece-by-piece in the second half to beat Ellinwood.
Larned was led by Cameron Brown, who finished with a game-high 20 points.
Easton Palmer and Jahman Hill joined him in double figures with 16 points and 13, respectively.
Ellinwood was led by Kyle Blakeslee, who scored 15 points.

VICTORIA — The game started slow, but Macksville picked up the pace in the second quarter to build a 15-point lead by halftime.
The Mustangs, which are ranked No. 7 in the latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association poll, kept on the pressure in the second half to beat Victoria.
Seth Filbert scored his highest point total this season to lead Macksville (11-3), finishing with 21 points.
Adam Oak added 14 points.
