HOISINGTON 45, ELLSWORTH 8
HOISINGTON – Hoisington’s Wyatt Pedigo scored four touchdowns and gained 108 yards to spark the Cardinal football team past Ellsworth 45-8 in Class 3A, District 16. Hoisington (5-2, 1-0 District) plays Larned (3-4, 1-0) at home next week.
Tailback Sean Urban gained a career high 213 yards and scored on a 70-yard touchdown. Urban rushed for 167 first-half yards and the Cardinals gained 288 first-half yards. Hoisington rushed for 378 yards and added 35 yards passing. Rudy Gearhart added a rushing touchdown.

NCAA champion Ellsworth (5-2, 0-1) passed for 77 yards and rushed for minus six yards on 17 attempts. Backup quarterback Morgan Kelley scored a touchdown. Grant Gwinner had 11 tackles.

ROZEL – Pawnee Heights tailback Kade Scott scored five touchdowns and gained 209 yards to lead the Tigers past Fowler 63-0 in 6-man football. Scott has gained 1,322 yards and scored 29 touchdowns in six games.
The amazing Gabe Oddo scored on a dazzling 59-yard run and scored on a blocked punt by teammate Dalton Hamby. Quarterback Trace Baker scored on an interception return and threw a TD pass to Scott. Baker threw for 95 yards.
The Tigers (7-0) and Cheylin (5-2) earn first-round byes in the upcoming 6-man playoffs. Golden Plains (5-2) plays Western Plains (0-7) and Weskan (5-2) plays Grinnell-Wheatland (3-4) in next week’s 6-man playoffs.

OTIS – Otis-Bison tailback Blake Bahr scored four touchdowns to spark the Cougars past Dighton 54-8 in Eight-Man 2, District 6. The Cougars (6-1, 3-0) need to beat winless Triplains next week to earn a playoff berth.
Bahr rushed for 208 yards and scored on runs of 11, 36, 45 and 62 yards. Quarterback Anton Foust rushed for 143 yards and scored three touchdowns on runs of 6, 26 and 54 yards. Daniel Scott added a 45-yard touchdown run.

CLAFLIN – Oiler quarterback Myles Menges threw four touchdown passes on four attempts to lead No. 3 state-ranked Central Plains past Ellinwood 64-0 in Eight-Man 1, District 5.
The Oilers (6-1, 3-0) are assured of a playoff berth with a victory against St. John, which is down to seven healthy players, next week. Ellinwood (1-6, 0-3) plays Little River (5-2, 2-1) at home.
Menges completed a pair of touchdown passes to Alex Barton and Dalton Beck. Alex Hickel started the game with a 66-yard kickoff return and scored on a 10-yard run. Dalton Beck caught a 72-yard TD pass. Barton also scored on a punt return.
Anthony Oberle and Jacob McAtee also scored TDs. Hickel recovered a fumble forced by Lee Letourneau. Dylan Lemieux had five tackles for losses.
