WICHITA — Area athletes have qualified for the state track meet Friday and Saturday in Class 3A, 2A and 1A.
Hoisington’s Jon Ball is tied for best pole vault (14-0) with Cheney’s Calvin Shell among 3A state qualifiers.
Macksville’s Jacob Rein is ranked first in the 200 (23.57) and second in the triple jump (42-51/4) among 2A state qualifiers.
In Class 1A, Taylor Regan of Otis-Bison is ranked first in the long jump (17-71/4) and second in the triple jump (36-73/4).  
The girls and boys 3,200-meter runs are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Friday.
