Ellinwood drops two in Pratt

PRATT —The Ellinwood Lady Eagles lost two at the Pratt Triangular on Tuesday.
Ellinwood’s first match was against Pratt, which they lost, 25-14 and 25-11.
The Lady Eagles took Nickerson to the final game of the best-of-three match, but they lost 22-25, 26-24 and 25-21.
Pratt beat Nickerson, 25-18 and 25-20.

Claflin volleyball
team wins three

KINSLEY — The Claflin High School volleyball team went 3-0 at the Kinsley quadrangular on Tuesday.
The Lady Wildcats first beat Western Plains, 25-11 and 25-14. Then they defeated Kinsley in two games, 25-14 and 25-13.
Claflin’s match against Ness City was the only match that went to the third game, but the Lady Wildcats fought to win, 25-22, 21-25 and 25-23.
“I am proud of the girls hard work, determination, and ability to focus on the task at hand,” Lady Wildcats head coach Lora Zinks said. “During one match we came from behind and were able to refocus, persevere, and come away with the victory.”
