Larned’s Kelsey Parr and Hoisington’s Emma Harmon and Brenner Donovan earned first-team All-Central Kansas League basketball honors.
Parr was a 3-point sharpshooter who sparked the Indians into the Class 4A-Division 2 state tournament. Larned (13-10) defeated Nickerson 45-32 and Haven 40-32 to qualify for the state tournament. State runner-up Jefferson West defeated Larned 51-37 in the 4A state tournament.
Harmon (16 ppg) led the Cardinals (9-12) with more than 50 3-pointers.
Earning honorable mention honors were Larned’s Haley Skelton and Ivory Muldow and Hoisington’s Vikki Donetz (3.4 ppg, 8.9 rpg), and Jocelynn Pedigo (6.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg).
Donovan averaged 15 points and two assists to lead the Cardinals to an 9-12 record. The Cardinals captured the Hoisington Winter Jam by beating Ellinwood 47-36, Otis-Bison 56-39 and Ellsworth 63-51.
Hoisington’s Grant Dolechek earned second-team CKL honors. Earning honorable mention honors were Larned’s Jonathan Herter, Mason Schartz and Chance Sanger and Cameron Davis (8 ppg, 8 rpg), and Alex Schremmer (8 ppg, 3.2 apg).
