Cardinals feature state-ranked wrestlers

HOISINGTON — Two-time state champion Christopher Ball of Hoisington (12-0, 152) is top-ranked in the 3A state rankings provided by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association. Christopher Ball won the Hoisington Cardinal Classic title.
The Cardinals are ranked third behind defending state champion Norton and Scott City. Other Cardinals state-ranked are third-ranked Sean Urban (11-0, 170); fourth-ranked Tanner Cassity (11-1, 138), third-ranked Wyatt Pedigo (10-2, 182) and sixth-ranked Joshua Ball (10-2, 160). Urban placed fifth, Cassity finished sixth and Pedigo was a state qualifier last year.
Urban and Cassity placed first at the Hoisington Cardinal Classic. Pedigo and Joshua Ball finished second.
