Cardinals have 10 all-league selections

Hoisington running back Hagan Hanzlick led the team with 1,463 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior. He is one of 10 All-Mid-Central Activities Association selections for the Cardinals.

In the Mid-Central Activities Association, Thomas More Prep-Marian High School of Hays holds the most all-league football-team selections with 11.
The Monarchs finished with a 5-4 record — just like Hoisington, which holds 10 selections.
The Cardinals went 3-0 in MCAA play, beating TMP, Larned and Ellinwood.
Hoisington’s first-team selections include offensive and defensive lineman Brady Moore, defensive lineman Cayton Janousek, running back Hagan Hanzlick, tight end Cody Stetler, linebacker Peyton Bullard and linebacker Avery Urban.
Hanzlick led the Cardinals with 1,463 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.
Urban led Hoisington’s defense with 67 tackles.
Larned, which finished with an 0-9 record, has six selections on the all-league list including offensive lineman Cody Keenan, running back and linebacker Chad Wallace, defensive lineman Raul Davila and defensive back Brady Keith on the first team.
Wallace led the Indians with 641 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.
Ellinwood, which went 2-7 this season, had five players selected as All-MCAA.
Offensive and defensive lineman Ian Goering, offensive lineman Garrett Hayes, running back and defensive back Patrick Ringering and linebacker Marcus Brown represent the Eagles on the first team.
 
Stafford places one player on
all-league honorable mention list

The Stafford Trojans have been led all season by sophomore running back and linebacker Tristin Paulsen.
Paulsen was the only selection from the Trojans (2-6) to make the All-Hearts of the Plains league teams as an honorable mention selection.
Paulsen made the list as a linebacker. Paulsen led Stafford with 80 tackles this season.
Paulsen also led with 768 rushing yards on 138 carries this season. He scored 11 touchdowns on the ground this year.
