HOISINGTON – Hoisington pitcher Taylor Boxberger keyed the Cardinals’ 12-2 and 15-7 Central Kansas League softball sweep over winless Halstead (0-14). Hoisington (9-5) plays at Hesston May 1.

HOISINGTON 12, HALSTEAD 2 (G1)—Keeley Wolf and Brooke Reif each drove home four runs. Boxberger struck out six batters. Madyson Beckett drove in two Halstead runs.

Brooke Steinert scored on an error and Wolf scored on a second-inning groundout. Wolf delivered a two-run third-inning single for a 4-0 lead. Jenna Urban scored on an error and Reif drilled a tw-run fifth-inning double.

The Cardinals Steinert hit an RBI single followed by two-run hits by Wolf and Reif that ended the game on a 10-run rule.

HOISINGTON 15, HALSTEAD 7 (G2)—Brooke Bachar, Aurora Ingram and Trinity Dolezal each drove in two runs. Halstead’s Callie Considine drove in three runs and Becktt drove in two runs.

Bailee Bachar, Ingram, Dolezal and Urban scored on first-inning errors. Reif and Urban delivered RBIs in the second inning.

Wolf scored on an error and Brooke Bachar and Ingram drove home runs in a three-run third inning. Brooke Bachar and Ingram drove home fourth-inning runs. Dolezal’s two-run hit was followed by Steinert’s RBI single in the sixth inning.
