OSBORNE — Hoisington High School got the wrestling season started off right with a first-place finish at a tournament in Osborne.
The No. 1-ranked Cardinals finished with 178 points, beating Smith Center by 16.
Hoisington had five athletes finish first in their weight class.
Returning Class 3-1A state champion in the 120-pound weight class Brandon Ball won three matches at 132.
Chance Demel (152), Darwin Brickley (126), Avery Urban (220) and Cayton Janousek (285) all finished first in their weight classes.

PRATT — Kaiden Reed led the Larned High School wrestling team at its season-opening Pratt tournament on Saturday.
Reed finished third in the 285-pound weight class.
