CLAFLIN – Defending Eight-Man 1 state champion Central Plains beat Goessel 50-0 to roar into the Eight-Man playoffs. Quarterback Braden Crites passed for three touchdowns and added a rushing touchdown.

The No. 2 ranked Oilers will play Kiowa County (5-4) at home Tuesday in the Eight-Man 1 playoffs.

Jacob Warnken scored on a 9-yard run and scored on a 23-yard intereception return. Alex Barton scored on a pair of touchdown passes and Clark Besthorn scored on a 51-yard touchdown. The Oilers converted several takeaways into touchdowns.
