Cougars crush Eagles, 46-0

HEALY — The Otis-Bison High School football team shut down Western Plains on Friday night.
Senior tailback Dylan Wissman wasn’t the only one driving the Cougars, who finished with a 46-0 Eight-Man Division-II District 7 shutout.
Wissman carried the ball 15 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns, and junior Jordan Hoffman rushed for a team-leading 129 yards and two TDs.
Wissman also caught a 40-yard touchdowns pass from quarterback Kole Urban.
Defensively, the Cougars held Western Plains to 36 yards of total offense, ending the game in the third quarter with the 45-point rule.
Otis-Bison (6-1 overall, 3-0 district) hosts Wilson (3-4, 1-2) next Friday.

LINCOLN — Tied at 14 in the final quarter, Oilers quarterback Bryce Steiner completed a 52-yard bomb to Colton Zink to help seize an Eight-Man D-I district victory.
Steiner completed 2 of 4 passes for 67 yards.
Oilers running back Chris Woolf carried the ball 28 times for 147 yards and one touchdown.
Zink also rushed for a touchdown.
Central Plains (3-4, 2-1) hosts District 5-leading Solomon (7-0, 3-0) on Friday night.

Stafford 54, Norwich 22
NORWICH — Stafford moved up in Eight-Man D-II District 4 standings with a win over Norwich.
The Trojans now sit in fourth with two must-win district games remaining.
Stafford’s running back tandem of Tristin Paulsen, who finished with 254 rushing yards and three touchdowns, and Ethan Johnson, who rushed for 165 yards and two scores, helped the Trojans jump to an early 24-0 lead after one quarter.
Stafford (4-3, 2-2) hosts Cunningham (4-3, 3-1) in Week 8.

Scott City 36, Hoisington 0
SCOTT CITY — Scott City’s defense held Hoisington quarterback Hagan Hanzlick to only 83 yards on the ground in the Beavers’ district-opening shutout.
Avery Urban added 79 rushing yards for the Cardinals.
Peyton Bullard led the Redbirds defense with seven tackles.
Hoisington (3-4, 0-1) will look to regroup at home, as it hosts Russell (1-6, 0-1).

St. John 34, Pratt-Skyline 18
PRATT — St. John remained undefeated in Eight-Man D-I District 6 play with a victory over winless Pratt-Skyline.
The Tigers advance to 6-1, 4-0. They host Fairfield in Week 8.
Skyline drops to 0-7, 0-

Ulysses 73, Larned 0
ULYSSES — Ulysses held Larned to 191 total yards on offense during a shutout to open Class 4A District 14 play.
Larned senior running back Brady Keith rushed for 59 yards, and junior quarterback Easton Palmer completed 7 of 19 passes for 132 yards.
The Indians (3-4 overall, 0-1 district) travels to Hugoton (3-4, 1-0).

Macksville 58,
South Central 34
COLDWATER — Macksville junior quarterback Tanner Tranbarger rushed for 227 yards as the Mustangs toppled South Central in Eight-Man D-I district action.
Tranbarger rushed for five touchdowns, while completing 3 of 7 passes for 90 yards and one score.
Billy Burnett was the Mustangs’ leading receiver, catching a pair of passes for 69 yards and one TD.
South Central running back Coby Lindsay rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns.
Macksville (3-4, 2-2) hosts Pratt-Skyline (0-4, 0-7) in its next district game.
