WICHITA — The Ellinwood High School track and field team competed in the 2014 Shocker Pre-State Meet on Friday.
Ellinwood’s top performer was the girls’ 4x800-meter relay team — McKenna Rugan, Joanna Strecker, Maddie Hayes and Brooke Panning. The team won the event with a time of 10:27.42.
Kyle Oglesbee finished fourth in the Elite Division of the 800 run. He set a school record with the time of 1:58.16.
The previous school record was set by Alan Petz in 1969.
