Ellinwood JV has strong season
The Ellinwood High School JV Volleyball team traveled to Chase for the Chase JV Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, October 11. The Lady Eagles defeated Wilson 25-21, 23-25, 15-13; Otis-Bison 25-17, 27-25; Lyons 25-16, 24-26, 15-9 and Chase 25-16, 25-8. Ellinwoods JV team competed in its final matches of the season on Tuesday, Oct. 14, when it hosted Otis-Bison and Kinsley. The Lady Eagles defeated Otis-Bison 25-16, 22-25, 25-12 and Kinsley 25-12, 25-18. The JV team won their final 13 matches to finish 19-4. Members of the team: Emma Ricker, Liz Standlee, Jenna Oelke, Tara Collins, Haley White, Trista Wilt, Bailey Baird, Sarah Frakes, Haleigh Martin, Hunter Miller, and Kim Trimmer. They were coached by Sharon Gatton.
