ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood sprinter Drew Blake and middle distance runner Ashtin Klepper each won two events and ran on a winning relay at the Ellinwood Track Invitational.
Blake won the 100 (10.62) and long jump (20-111/2) and competed on the first-place 400-meter relay (45.49) with Isaak Fischer, Kody Koetter and Peter Joslin.
Klepper swept the 800 (2:32.52) and 1,600 (5:54.22) and ran on the first-place 3,200-meter relay (11:01.6) with Erin Hammeke, Sarah Hammeke and Daphne Doll.
Other boys winners were Central Plains’ Jacob McAtee, 300 hurdles (41.63); Alex Barton, 400 (51.93); and the Oilers’ 1,600-meter relay (3:32.9) featuring Lee Letourneau, McAtee, Anthony Oberle and Barton.
St. John’s Quincy Smith won the 800 (2:05.1) and ran on the winning 3,200-meter relay (8:28.5) with Chase Fisher, Cashe McVey, and Mason Osborne.
The Southeast of Saline boys (112) edged Sterling (111) and Ellsworth (110) for the team title.
Other girls winners were Ellinwood’s Erin Hammeke, 3,200 (12:56.9); and Madison Ward, discus (106-2) and Central Plains Oiler Lexi Oeser, javelin (110-1).
Sterling’s girls (125) won the title with Ellsworth (107) placing runner-up.
