The Great Bend High School Booster Club will have a tailgate party prior to Friday night’s football game.
The party runs from 5 p.m. to 6:30 at Memorial Stadium.
They will serve hamburgers, brats or hot dogs with chips, beans and a drink for $5.
The theme for the game is ‘red hot,’ but the forecasted temperature is cool.
The Booster Club will be selling red Under Armour pullovers from the booth on the northwest side of the stadium.

Friess makes reminder of game-time ettiquette

Friday is the first home football game for Great Bend High School, and Principal  Tim Friess would like to remind parents of elementary-age children attending football games that they must sit with them.
“Any elementary students who are wandering around during the game will be directed to go back and sit with their parents,” Friess said. “Any elementary student who is repeatedly out of the stands and wandering around will be asked to call their parents and the parents will be asked to come and get them.”
Friess is asking for help with the procedure so that all fans are more able to enjoy the game.
