ARKANSAS CITY — The Great Bend High School girls’ tennis team’s two entries, both doubles teams, into the Class 5A state tournament have advanced to Day 2 of the event.
Macy Moyers and Morgan Francis have advanced to a semifinal match, which will start around 10:30 a.m. today.
Brianna Schartz and Jami McVay went 2-1, losing in a quarterfinal match. They place as high as fifth.
Moyers and Francis had a first-round bye, and went 2-0 on the day.
