GBHS swim team takes home first place

GARDEN CITY — The Great Bend High School girls' swimming team took first place at the Garden City swim meet on Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers were led by sophomore Allison Damm, who pulled in a pair of first-place finishes. Damm turned in a time of two minutes, 19.50 seconds in the 200-yard freestyle and a time of 6:23.00 to take away to the top finishes.
Freshman Hannah Hildebrand continued to stand out this year, taking first place in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:32.67 and first place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:09.81.
The Great Bend relay teams were led by the 400 freestyle relay team consisting of Damm, Jessica Kuhlman, Katie Heeke and Taycee Bunn which took first place, touching in at 4:20.31.
