MACKSVILLE — Macksville High School’s head track and field coach Jennifer Gillespie was designated the Class 1A Boys’ Track and Field Coach of the Year for the 2012 season by the Kansas Cross Country/Track and Field Coaches Association.
Under Gillespie’s guidance, the Mustangs were Central Prairie League runners-up, 1A regional champions in Montezuma and 1A state track and field runners-up at Wichita State University this season.
The award will be handed out at a 2013 KCCTFCA clinic in January.
