Great Bend bowling sets conference record, tops Liberal on Tuesday

LIBERAL — The Great Bend bowling team left Liberal with a pair of wins on Tuesday night.
The Great Bend boys have set a Western Athletic Conference record for a team series for the second straight meet, beating their own WAC record of 2,766 by rolling a 2,772.
The Panthers were led by Tyler Jones, who knocked down 705 pins.
Great Bend is 9-2 overall, 4-2 in the WAC.
The Lady Panthers are still undefeated after rolling a 2310 team series, beating Liberal by 82. Their record stands at 11-0 overall, 6-0 in the WAC.
The Great Bend girls lead the WAC, sitting ahead of Dodge City, which is 3-3.
Miranda Hejny led the Lady Panthers by rolling a 575.
The Great Bend bowling team is back in action tonight at the Garden City WAC tournament.
