Great Bend competes at Emporia

EMPORIA — The Great Bend High School cross-country team competed at the Emporia meet last weekend.
The GBHS girls finished seventh overall, totaling 195 points in the 13-team field. The short-handed boys finished ninth with 239 points last Saturday, as seniors were busy taking their ACT tests.
Great Bend travels to Hays for the Hays High Invitational on Thursday. The invite starts at 3:45 p.m., with the junior varsity races under way.
