Shannon Schartz's Great Bend High School boys' tennis team is gearing up for their first Western Athletic Conference action of the season.
The Panthers, the defending WAC champions, were busy practicing on Saturday morning, making preparations to travel to a meet at Hays on Monday, starting at 1 p.m.
The Panthers, who registered a 119-22 record last season, the best mark in school history, have not played since March 30, when they won their own invite.
The Buhler quadrangular, which was postponed on April 2, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 17.

• Great Bend's varsity track and field team is host to an invitational on Tuesday at Great Bend's Memorial Stadium. Field events get under way at 3:30 p.m., with Dodge City, Hoisington, Hutchinson and Liberal coming to town.
• The Lady Panthers' softball team entertains conference opponent Liberal on Tuesday in a doubleheader at the Great Bend Sports Complex, starting at 4 p.m., before entertaining Maize on Friday in a non-conference doubleheader, also starting at 4.
• The Great Bend WAC baseball doubleheader at Liberal, which was postponed on April 2, has been rescheduled for Friday, starting at 4 p.m. The Panthers play their next home games on Tuesday, April 16, matching up against Thomas More Prep Marian and Scott City in single games at the Sports Complex, starting at 3 p.m.
• The Lady Panthers' soccer team travels to Dodge City on Monday, starting at 4, before returning home to play Hays on Tuesday, also starting at 4.
• The Lady Panthers' swim team travels to Garden City on Tuesday, starting at 4 p.m.
• The Panthers' golf team, which traveled to Garden City on Saturday, have their next varsity meet on Monday, April 15, at Hays.
