The Great Bend High School volleyball team faces off with nearby area team St. John in the first match of the Lady Panthers’ home tournament on Saturday at the GBHS Fieldhouse.
Great Bend, Wichita Northwest, St. John and Ellsworth are in Pool A, while Phillipsburg, Pratt Skyline, Hays and Salina Central are in Pool B.
Great Bend (6-16 overall) and St. John (18-2) square off on the East court in the lid-lifter at 9 a.m., with Pratt Skyline (16-5) and Hays (9-10) opening play on the West court.
At 10, Ellsworth (7-11) and Wichita Northwest (20-4) face off on the West court, while Phillipsburg (19-0) and Salina Central (3-16) do battle on the East court.
At 11, Great Bend and Ellsworth collide on the West court, and Hays and Phillipsburg compete on the East court.
At noon, Wichita Northwest and St. John meet on the West court, and Salina Central and Skyline meet on the East court.
At 1 p.m., Great Bend takes on Wichita Northwest on the West court, while Hays and Salina Central meet on the East court.
At 2, St. John plays Ellsworth on the West court, and Phillipsburg takes on Skyline on the East side.
Bracket play will begin immediately following the final pool-play matches.
