PRATT - Tailback Hunter Hanzlick scored three touchdowns and the Cardinals scored on two long runs to beat Pratt 32-14 in Friday's Central Kansas League football game.
Hanzlick scored on runs of 1, 11 and 16 yards to help the No. 2 ranked Class 3A Cardinals (5-0, 3-0 CKL) lead 32-7. Hoisington's Sean Urban scored on a 55-yard run and Cameron Davis added a 51-yard touchdown run and 112 yards rushing. The Cardinals rushed for 333 yards.
"We took a step in the right direction and we were better with our physicality tonight," said Hoisington coach Zach Baird. "Defensively, we got off blocks and ran to the football."
Travis Theis scored on a 2-yard run and Drew Roadhouse scored on a 34-yard pass from Landen Studer. Pratt (4-1, 4-1 CKL) gained 215 yards on 47 attempts. Theis gained 94 yards and Hunter Kaufman had 57 yards.
